Donations for Calais migrant camp

The Lewisham Unitarians are collecting donations of musical instruments and sanitary supplies for the refugees in the Calais makeshift camp. They are asking for items such as wet wipes and hand gel to help with the preparation of food in the kitchen area, which has no running water. They also request inexpensive guitars and drums for people to play to pass the time and to lift people’s spirits as artist activists have erected a community tent in which music is played by/for those who gather. The Unitarians request that you bring them to the Meeting House for the first service in January, which is the 3rd January 2016. They plan to take them to Calais on the 9th January on a trip over.

Unitarian Meeting House is at 41 Bromley Road, Catford, SE6 2TS and services are at 11am.
